Number Nine is a traditional stone-built self catering cottage situated in the picturesque township of Ardmhor, in the north of the beautiful Isle of Barra. The cottage is just yards from the beach, which forms the world famous Barra airstrip.

We provide all bedding and towels and a travel cot and high chair are available, for guests with small children.
Electricity, hot water, heating and broadband access are included in the price.
From March to October, we operate a minimum booking policy of one week or 7 nights. Weeks at number nine run Sunday to Sunday (chiefly dictated by the ferry timetable).
Well behaved dogs are welcome but please have them under control at all times as there may be livestock around the croft.

The landline telephone is active, should you wish to accept incoming calls. The number is in the information sheet. Outgoing calls should only be made in the event of an emergency.
Mobile phone reception from most of the main mobile networks is available on Barra. Orange/EE is by far the most extensive though. Others such as Vodaphone and o2 are variable.
